Box Score Keiser men's tennis wrapped up day four of the ITA Regional Championship with a feat that they have not done before. The Seahawks did not drop a single match to a non-Keiser opponent throughout the entire tournament en route to winning the singles and doubles regional titles.
The day belonged to Keiser but more specifically to the winners of the tournament. To begin the day,
Soufiane El Mesbahi and
Martin Carrizo battled with
Yassir Kilani and
Shaheed Alam to a third-set super tiebreak. After splitting the opening two sets, El Mesbahi and Carrizo pushed forward to take the tiebreak by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 10-6. The pair became the seventh consecutive ITA Regional doubles champions representing Keiser. Kilani and Alam would then have a break before meeting in the singles final. Alam would battle back from 1-5 down in the first set before Kilani would close it out 7-5. The second set would go the way of Kilani again as the 2021 runner-up would close out the match with a 7-5, 7-5 win over his teammate. He became the fifth different Seahawk to win the ITA Regional and the sixth in seven years.

Head CoachÂ
Daniel Finn said, "Very strong showing by the boys. To run through an event like that and not drop a match to anyone other than a Keiser player in singles or doubles showed the focus and tenacity that they played with the past four days. This was a massive, deep draw, and the boys stayed composed despite injuries and weather stoppages. Having today be all Keiser in the finals honestly worried me about how hard they might not go at each other but I think I may be most proud of how hard they continued to push and compete against one another which is truly a testament to how they make each other's level rise each and every day. In the end, I am happy with the performances and excited to get the guys healed up, rested, and back to work as they prepare for the national tournament in a few weeks. "
