No. 7 Men's Soccer Downs Warner In Nine Goal Outing

No. 7 men's soccer had eight different goal scorer's in today's shutout of Warner University. Senior Lucas Jacobs led the way for the Seahawks with two goals and two assists. 

.How it Happened
  • The Seahawks got off to a fast start as the first goal of the game came in just under a minute when Nick Akoto crossed the ball to the left side to find Alexander Stéen. After having his shot blocked, Rui Reis came in for the rebound and tapped the ball in to give Keiser the 1-0 lead. 
  • Less than four minutes later, the rolls would reverse as Alexander Stéen scored his fifth goal of the season with assists from Rui Reis and Lucas Jacobs.
  • A foul called on the Royals in the 21st minute would result in a penalty kick awarded to the Seahawks. From there, Adrian Camacho Castro would make it 3-0 to keep Keiser on top.          
  • Reigning Defensive SUN Player of the Week Jack Casey continued his impressive campaign as he scored his second goal of the season with the help of Lucas Jacobs and Gabi Villafane.
  • With just under 30 seconds left of the first half, Gabi Villafane added to his excellent offensive performance this past week with a goal late in the half to give the Seahawks the 5-0 lead.
  • Keiser out-shot the Royals in the first half 19-0 while 14 shots were recorded on goal.      
  • The Seahawks wasted no time in the second half of play when Lucas Jacobs wanted in on the scoring action, Jacobs headed a cross from Jack Casey into the right side of the net for the 6-0 lead.
  • 30 seconds later, Jacobs teamed up with Nikolas Cam Orellana for his second goal of the game.
  • The Seahawks would have their biggest break between goals with 20 minutes until, Nikolas Cam Orellana would join in and score his first goal of the season. 
  •  Ian Garnero would notch the final goal of the day after dancing around three defenders and collecting his first goal of the year for a final of 9-0.

  • Eight different Seahawks scored in today's match. 
  • Nikolas Cam Orellana and Ian Garnero would record their first goals of the season. 
  • Adrian Camacho Castro and Rui Reis continue the battle for the team-lead now with seven a piece. 
  • Keiser would out-shoot the Royals by a large margin of 38-2.
  • The Royals managed to get one loan shot on goal.
  • The one save of the day for Keiser belonged to James Kennedy after making an appearance in the second half.
