No. 7 Men's Soccer Defeats Florida Memorial on the Road

No. 7 men's soccer had success on the road with a 3-2 win over Florida Memorial. The game was the first game back for both the Seahawks and the Lions since Hurricane Ian last week. 

.How it Happened
  • The Seahawks got off to a quick start in under three minutes after a foul on Florida Memorial was called, Adrian Camacho Castro scored his eighth goal of the season off a free kick.
  • The Lions did not remain quiet for long as Florida Memorial tied things up in the 22nd minute to make it a 1-1 game.
  • Both teams would remain silent in the rest of the first half as Keiser only recorded five shots and Florida Memorial with three.
  • In the second half of play it only took the Seahawks under a minute to bounce back. After a yellow card was issued to Florida Memorial, Keiser was awarded a free kick and took full advantage when Alpha Faye headed the kick off the foot of Camacho Castro.
  • Lucas Jacobs got in on the scoring action to keep the Seahawks on top with a 3-1 lead.
  • The Seahawks were awarded a penalty kick in the 58th minute when another yellow card was given to the Lions, the shot by Lucas Jacobs went just wide.
  • Florida Memorial added to the board in the 62nd minute to keep the game close.
  • Keiser would remain unphased the rest of the match as possession went back and forth between the two teams.
  • The Seahawks pull off the road win with a final score of 3-2.

  • Alpha Faye scores his first goal of the season.
  • Adrian Camacho Castro now leads the Seahawks in goals with eight this season.
  • A total of twelve yellow cards were handed out in today's match.
