The Keiser Seahawks have been picked as the favorite to claim the 2022 Sun Conference title, the league announced on Monday. The 2022 Sun Conference Preseason Football Coaches' Poll was voted on by the conference's seven head coaches.
 
The Seahawks are coming off a 2021 campaign in which Keiser advanced to the NAIA quarterfinals for the second straight year while ending the season ranked No. 7 in the nation.

Top of the League

• The Seahawks totaled 36 points, including six first-place votes to finish atop the preseason poll.
• Southeastern was selected to finish second with 30 points to go along with one first-place vote.

A Look Back at Last Season

• KU compiled a 9-2 record in 2021, advancing to the NAIA Football Championship Series Quarterfinals.
• The Seahawks earned their third-straight Mid-South Conference Sun Division Championship last season.
• KU garnered two NAIA All-Americans (Sage Chen-Young, Marques Burgess)
• 11 Seahawks were named all-conference.
• Marques Burgess was named the Craig Mullins MSC Sun Division Offensive Player of the Year.
• The Seahawks finished ranked No. 7 in the final NAIA Top 25 Poll.
• Off the field, 25 players received conference all-academic honors.
