Men’s Golf Receives Outstanding Team Academic Award

The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced on Monday its 2021-22 Outstanding Academic Award Recipients with the Keiser Seahawks earning the organization's Presidents Special Recognition honor.

The Seahawks posted a 3.80 team GPA for the 2021-22 academic year, becoming one of just four programs in the NAIA to earn the Presidents Special Recognition (3.5-or-more GPA).

Claiming the school's first National Championship in men's golf this season, KU boasted the NAIA Dave Williams Coach of the Year presented by Golf Pride Grips (Brandon Miller), the winner of the Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Barbasol, and the Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award recipient presented by StrackaLine (Jakob Stavang Stubhaug) to go along with six NAIA All-Americans.
