The No. 7 Keiser Seahawks were bested by the Reinhardt Eagles in the NAIA Invitational Quarterfinal on Wednesday night in Pensacola, Florida, 16-6.


First Quarter
Keiser 2, Reinhardt 3
  • Max Hiestand kicked off the scoring for Keiser off a beautiful pass to the front of the net by Cole Stassi with 9:09 on the clock.
  • Ryan Schwartz picked up his first of the game with a laser across the face of the RU goalie to make it a 2-0 game with 6:56 left in the first.
  • The Eagles would get on the board with 4:47 on the clock to bring the score to 2-1.
  • With 2:53 showing, Reinhardt tied the game at 2-2.
  • The Eagles went on to take the 3-2 lead going into the second quarter.
Second Quarter
Keiser 3, Reinhardt 7
  • Reinhardt continued their momentum into the second quarter with Cameron Cochran getting his third of the contest.
  • With 12:35 on the clock, Stassi weaved through the entire Eagles defense before firing a shot into the net to make it a 4-3 game in favor of RU.
  • Reinhardt responded with back-to-back goals to take a 6-3 lead with 4:43 left to play in the half.
  • RU would close out the half with another goal at the 2:30 mark to make it a 7-3 game going into halftime.
Third Quarter
Keiser 5, Reinhardt 12
  • Cochran opened the third quarter for the Eagles to extend their lead to 8-3 with 14:24 remaining.
  • Jack Weilandt cut the lead with his first of the evening at the 11:35 mark to leave the score at 8-4.
  • The Eagles tacked on two more goals to up their lead to 10-4 with 3:45 left in the third.
  • Vincent Cerasuolo got on the board with 3:05 showing before the Eagles responded with one of their own to make it 11-5 with 2:19 to play.
  • Reinhardt would add a goal with 33 seconds left to increase their lead to 12-5 heading into the final quarter of play.
Fourth Quarter
Keiser 6, Reinhardt 16
  • Reinhardt would continue to carry the momentum into the fourth quarter as they tacked on four unanswered goals to take a 16-5 lead with 6:08 left in the game.
  • Josten Ucros scored the final goal of the game with 2:53 on the clock as the Eagles would take the 16-6 victory.
KU Highlights
  • 2/3: Stassi recorded two assists and three points in the contest to lead Keiser.
  • 6: Six different players were credited with one goal each for KU.
  • 7: Cole George saved seven shots for the Seahawks in the crease. 
  • 9: KU moves to 1-9 all-time against Reinhardt, 0-4 in the NAIA Tournament. 
  • 12/6: Cam Provines won 12-of-26 faceoffs and added a team-best six groundballs.
  • 30: Keiser put together 30 shots on the night against the Eagles.
