"Doubles way key today. It set the tone for the whole match," said Head Coach,
Daniel Finn, "In fact, it was probably some of the better tactical doubles we have played all year. We have been working a lot over the past weeks, and it showed today. I wasn't thrilled with how the girls closed out the match, but the belief in themselves is coming along. Today, 5 of our 6 girls were playing in their first conference championships. The girls wanted it, went out, and took it. Credit to SCAD. They are a strong team that could easily be top-5 nationally, so for the girls to come out and perform today, tells a lot about them, especially with us dealing with injuries and issues. Happy to win the conference tourney and can't give enough credit to my coaching staff. They have done an amazing job this year but stepped up even more this week when situations rose and they were called upon. With both the boy's and women's championships going in at the same time, and a lot of matches being competitive, the staff gets stretched thin. However, they never wavered and the players executed for them when it mattered most. Now we can rest and heal up and start getting ready for nationals."

The Seahawks will get three weeks of rest as they wait to see their opponents for the NAIA National Championships.
