The Keiser Seahawks could not overcome a slow start, falling to the No. 19-ranked Southeastern Fire on Thursday night. 

Four Seahawks scored in double-figures, including Core'von Lott and Quinton Glaspie, who led the team with 23 and 20 points, respectively.

How it Happened



First Half

Southeastern 48, Keiser 32
  • Southeastern used a 15-2 run to start the game.
  • The Fire's lead moved to 20, 28-8, following a 3-pointer by Mykhailo Yagodin with 9:05 left in the half.
  • A pair of made free throws by Riley Minix made the score, 42-18 in favor of the Fire with 5:15 on the clock.
  • The Seahawks used a 8-0 run to close out the half.

Second Half

Southeastern 93, Keiser 88
  • Keiser continued its run to start the second half, scoring nine straight to cut the SEU lead to 48-41 with 17:32 left in the game.
  • The deficit moved back up to 20 following a 3-pointer by Yagodin, 70-50 (11:44).
  • Trailing by 14 (89-77), Keiser used a 9-0 run to pull with five, 89-84, with 1:03 on the clock.
  • A layup by Antwan Claxton with 37 second left made it a four-point game, 90-86.
  • A dunk by Riley Minix extended the SEU lead to six, 92-86, with 26 ticks left on the game clock.
  • After a made layup by Claxton with eight seconds left, Riley Matticks went to the line to make it a two-possession game, 93-88.

  • Prior to the game, the Seahawks recognized three members of the program who will took part in the final regular-season home contest of their Keiser careers - (Antwan ClaxtonQuinton GlaspieMarko Radulovic).  
  • With the loss, Keiser drops to 12-14 (6-9 SUN) on the year.
  • With the loss, the Seahawks drop to 22-9 all-time versus the Fire.
