The Keiser Seahawks had a dominant night, downing the Florida Memorial Lions, 27-7, and shutting out the Midland Warriors, 41-0.

Quarterback Jazmin Rhoden combined for 45-of-67 for 475 yards and seven touchdowns while Kennedy Foster grabbed 15 catches for 138 yards and five touchdowns in the home-opening doubleheader.

First Quarter

  • On the Seahawks' first possession, Jazmin Rhoden connected with Chloe Griffin for 22 yards to set up a first-and-goal from the FMU 15-yard line.
  • Two plays later, Rhoden completed a 15-yard touchdown pass to Julianne Fortin to give KU a 6-0 lead. 
  • The Seahawks' extra-point was no good.
  • Keiser got the ball back after a turnover on downs with 2:12 left in the quarter.
  • Again the Seahawks moved into the red zone after a 23-yard pass completion from Rhoden to Adrianna Cavalotti putting the ball to the Lions 10-yard line. An FMU personal foul put the ball on the five-yard line. 

Second Quarter

  • On the first play of the second quarter, Rhoden found Kennedy Foster for a five-yards touchdown pass.
  • A missed extra-point attempts made it a 12-0 game.
  • On the ensuing drive, the Seahawks registered a safety following a bad snap by the Lions sent the ball into the endzone, 14-0.
  • An interception of a Rhoden pass by Kayla McDuffie set up a seven-play, 27-yard scoring drive capped off with a 12-yard touchdown pass from Amia Badgett to Ashleign Gary. A succesful extra point made it, 14-7.
  • Keiser used a seven-play, 66-yard drive to push its lead to 20-7 following a 22-yard touchdown pass from Rhoden to Griffin (extra point no good).

  • The Seahawks made it a 20-point game when Maria Vega scored on a "pick six", intercepting Badgett for a six-yard return. 
  • The pick was the first of the season for Vega.
  • After a successful extra point, Keiser led, 27-7.

Fourth Quarter

  • Keiser shut down the Lions offense, holding them scoreless in the fourth as the game ended via the mercy rule at the two-minute warning.

  • The Seahawks got on the board with an 11-yard touchdown pass from Rhoden to Foster (extra point good) to take a 7-0 lead.
  • On the team's next possession, Rhoden found Foster again - this time for 10 yards.
  • The SportsCenter Top 10 catch gave the Seahawks a 14-0 lead after the made extra point. 
  • Keiser scored its third TD of the quarter as Rhoden connected with Fortin for the one-yard score (extra point good). 

Second Quarter

  • Rhoden and Foster connected for a score for the third time in the game with a two-yard passing touchdown.
  • The made extra point extended the lead to 28-0. 

Third Quarter
Keiser 28, Midland 0
  • Neither team found the end zone in the third stanza as KU held a 28-0 advantage after three.

Fourth Quarter
Keiser 41, Midland 0
  • Quarterback Haylie Young threw her first touchdown as a Seahawk, finding Kennedy Foster for 17 yards.
  • The touchdown and extra point made it 35-0.
  • The Seahawks scored their final TD of the evening with 2:38 left to play as Young hit Reigan Pellegrino for 21 yards and the score.
  • The ended with the mercy rule at the two-minute warning.
