Never trailing in the game, the Keiser women's basketball team made easy work of the Florida National Conquistadors on Thursday, winning 85-58 in non-conference action.
Four Seahawks reached double-figures in scoring, including
Julia Fitzwater, who posted a career-high 11 points (4-of-5 shooting; 3-of-4 from 3-point range).
With KU leading, 31-25, a technical foul on the Florida National bench sparked a 7-0 run for the Seahawks, pushing the lead to 38-25.
Keiser 22, Florida National 18
- Shykim Gillion scored the first four points of the game to give KU an early 4-0 lead (9:22).
- Following a steal by Chiara De Virgilio, Kaitlyn Fertig hit a fastbreak jumper to give the Seahawks an 8-2 lead with 8:10 on the game clock.
- Al layup by Gillion made it a seven-point game with 6:32 left in the first.
- FNU went on a 6-0 run, cutting the Keiser lead to one, 12-11 (5:00).
- A trey by Elliana Schaefer (2:50) and a bucket in the paint by Elise Ellison-Coons (2:22) pushed the Keiser lead to 17-11.

- A 6-2 run by the Seahawks to start the second gave Keiser a 28-20 lead with 8:27 left in the half.
- FNU's Natalie Laranaga scored a bucket to cut it to 31-25.
- A bench technical by the Conquistadors sparked a 7-0 run which gave Keiser a 38-25 lead with 2:48 on the clock.
- A triple by Andressa Nascimento made it a 14-point game, 41-27, with 1:37 remianing.
- Ellison-Coons hit a pair of free throws with just one second left in the half to give KU a 45-29 lead.

- The Seahawks went on a 9-0 run to begin the third, taking a 53-29 lead with 6:55 on the game clock.
- Fertig hit consecutive threes to make it a 28-point game, 64-36 (3:41).
- KU maintained a 20-point lead for the remainder of the quarter, heading into the fourth up, 68-44.
