How it Happened

First Half
Keiser 38, Warner 29
  • Both sides came out shooting well with Warner taking the 8-7 lead on a three-pointer with 17:01 on the clock.
  • Keiser would turn it around quickly with a 9-0 run capped off with a Christian Miller-Cardwell layup at the 12:24 mark.
  • The Royals would put together a 5-0 run of their own to cut the lead down to 16-13 with 11:32 still left to play in the first.
  • That is when Core'von Lott really started to get going, leading Keiser on an 11-0 run with six of the points coming from himself.
  • Following a Warner three-pointer, Lott took advantage of a three-point shooting foul, making all three to give the Seahawks a 30-16 lead.
  • The Royals would close the gap with an 8-3 run before free throws from Miller-Cardwell put Keiser up by 11 with 2:12 on the clock.
  • Both teams would trade baskets to end the half, with Keiser leading 38-29 at the break.

Second Half
Keiser 75, Warner 67

  • A three-pointer by Jeremiah Saunders at the 17:42 mark cut Keiser's lead down to just one, 40-39.
  • After trading baskets, it was Saunders to take advantage with a three-point shooting foul with just over 16 minutes to play to again cut the lead down to one.
  • A one-handed slam from Justin Tucker capped a 5-0 run for the Seahawks going into the first media timeout of the second half ahead, 50-44.
  • Coming out of the timeout, it was Tucker converting a three-point play before DaQuan Williams drained a trey to put the momentum back in Kesier's favor.
  • With just over nine minutes to play, a putback dunk for Brandon Younger had the crowd out of their seats and gave the Seahawks a 58-48 lead.
  • The back-and-forth play would continue over the next five minutes with each side having an answer for the other but Keiser still leading 66-56 with just over three minutes to play.
  • Neither side could miss for a stretch of just over a minute as the Royals took advantage of the three-point shot and cut the lead down to 70-65.
  • For the fourth game in a row, it would come down to free throws for Keiser as the Royals began to foul the Seahawks with just over 30 seconds to play.
