Turnovers plagued the Seahawks on Saturday as the Keiser women's basketball team dropped its second straight Sun Conference game with a 70-61 loss to Florida Memorial. The Lions registered 22 points off of 23 Seahawk turnovers in the contests.
Despite being down by as many as 17 points, KU was able ot pull within four late in the game but could not retake the lead.
A 24-7 run by the Lions late in the third quarter and early in the fourth proved to be too much for the Seahawks to overcome.

Fla. Memorial 13, Keiser 12
- The Seahawks leading scorers in the first quarter were Shykim Gillion and Elliana Schaefer with nine points each.
- Elise Ellison-Coons scored the first bucket for the Seahawks with a made layup at the 7:51 mark.
- Both teams remained close in score throughout the whole first quarter.
- Gillion and Janiece Thomas registered two steals each.

- Both teams recorded 17 boards a piece in the second quarter.
- At the 8:08 mark Kennedy Schlabach made a basket from beyond the arc that was assisted by Elise Ellison-Coons to cut the lead 15-18.
- Gillion hit a layup to cut the lead to a point and made the game 17-18, Seahawks trailing.
- Keiser took the lead in the 5:47 with a three-pointer by Schlabach to make the game 20-18.
- The Lions then came up to tie the game and took the lead with a layup by Cherelle Washington.
Fla. Memorial 46, Keiser 38
- Both Ellison-Coons and Jones registered seven boards each.
- A layup by Gillion at the 9:27 mark tied the game at 28-28.
- Fla. Memorial took the lead but the Seahawks came back to tie the game after a foul by Deen-Ahmad that brought Ellison-Coons to the line.
- Keiser went 7-of-8 from the line in the third quarter.

- The Lions opened the quarter on a 9-1 run to extend their lead, 56-39 with 6:16 left in the game.
- A pair of made free-throw attempts by Ellison-Coons with 2:33 on the game clock, cut the FMU lead to single-digits, 62-53.
- KU scored five straight to make it a four-point game, following a 3-pointer by Schlabach with 1:03 left in the game.
- The Seahawks were unable to get any closer, dropping their second consecutive SUN contest.

- The loss moves Keiser to 4-2 on the season; 0-2 in Sun Conference action.
- With the loss, Keiser drops to 18-17 all-time versus the Lions.
- The loss extends teh Seahawks current losing streak to the Lions to three games.
