Keiser men's basketball opened their 2022-23 season with back-to-back wins on the road over the weekend in South Carolina. On Saturday, the Seahawks took control of the game early, jumping out to a 50-25 lead at the half.
Brandon Younger and
DaQuan Williams led the KU scoring effort with 15 points each. Keiser would get help from 11 different scorers in the game en route to an 89-62 win in their season opener. With the win, Keiser improved to 13-4 in season openers.
The Seahawks followed up that performance with a 73-54 win the very next day in Denmark, South Carolina. Once again, it was Younger leading the way with 21 points to pace the Seahawks side.
Justin Tucker finished just behind with a 17-point performance in his second game with KU. A milestone moment occurred in the first half as
Core'von Lott surpassed 1,000 points in his Keiser career on his first basket of the game. Lott and Williams would finish with 13 points each in the win.
The Seahawks will return home for some rest before hitting the road again next weekend when they travel to Life University in Marietta, Ga.
