Keiser men's tennis concluded their first day of tennis at the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia with mixed results. The men went 2-2 in singles play and 1-2 in doubles play.

The doubles team of Jesse Den Hartog and Christian Foss picked up the biggest win of the day in doubles, defeating Alejandro Oviedo and Mauricio Velasco in straight sets, 7-6, 6-4. The pair will move on to tomorrow to face Felix Veyhle and Max Mueller in the Quarterfinal.



Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "Up and down day overall. Some of our guys competed well and had chances to win and did while others need to assess where they are as players and figure out what they want to get out of this journey. In tennis, losses are almost unavoidable, however, not giving enough effort in the moments that matter is unacceptable. We were too passive in some moments today and it cost us a few times. Regardless, there are a few still advancing and we still have some big matches ahead of us tomorrow and will rest up and get ready for what tomorrow brings."
