The Keiser wrestling team fell in both of their matches at the Bobcat Duals on Friday at the Fernandez Family Center in Miami Gardens, Fla.
The highlights of the dual came at 125 with
Riley Stevens picking up 12 points on the day with a forfeit win against Dakota Wesleyan and a fall over DJ Perez (STU). With his nine points earned on the day,
Earnest Johnson became the program leader in total points(54.5) and Mid-South Conference points(24).
"Overall, I'm happy with the confidence that the guys showed today," said Head Coach,
Nick Soto. "We came out slow in the first match, but turned it around in the second match. Carlos (Bogan), James (Donovan Berline), and George (Zertopoulis) all showed up with what they've been showing in the wrestling room all season. We could've come out down and let these duals go by, but our guys rallied around each other and gave a great effort today. We'll get back, make some tweaks and get ready for the fire duals next week."
