Chris Chambers Named Wide Receivers Coach at Keiser

Former Miami Dolphin and NFL All-Pro wide receiver Chris Chambers has been named the wide receivers coach at Keiser University; Head Coach Doug Socha announced on Friday.
 
"We are excited to add Chris Chambers to the Keiser Football staff," Socha said. "His energy and expertise will be a huge asset to our wide receiver group. We look forward to seeing what develops under his guidance."

The multifaceted Chambers has applied the experiences from a 10-year NFL career and a four-year stint at the University of Wisconsin to educate the next generation of collegiate and professional athletes in sports performance training and athletic development that includes physical training, mental health, and financial preparations.
 
"I have a sincere passion for coaching and developing football players on and off the field," Chambers said. "I'm excited to continue my efforts in impacting the South Florida community"
 
Chambers spent 10 seasons in the NFL, playing for the Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, and Kansas City Chiefs. The 52nd overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft, Chambers earned PFWA All-Rookie Team honors and was named the Dolphins Rookie of the Year. During the 2005 season, Chambers led Miami with 82 receptions for 1,118 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning his first Pro Bowl selection and was named the Dolphins Most Valuable Player. Chambers finished his NFL career with 540 receptions for 7,648 yards and 58 touchdowns.
 
Chambers comes to KU after spending one season as the head coach at the University of Fort Lauderdale. Prior to his stint at UFTL, Chambers was the director of football & athlete engagement at BARWIS: Performance Training (2019-2021). He was also the director of football operations at Fit Speed Athletic Performance (2018-19). During the 2019 and 2020 seasons, Chambers was the co-offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach at University School and TRU Prep Academy where he helped guide the Saints to the 2020 SSIA Independent State Championship.
 
Chambers is also the founder of the Chamber Football Academy and the CATCH84 Foundation (Children Achieving Through Community Help).
 
A graduate of the Wisconsin, Chambers was a four-year letterman. During his time with Badgers, Chambers was a two-time All-Big Ten selection, including a second-team honoree in 2000. He's a two-time Big Ten Champion (1998 & 1999) and a two-time Rose Bowl Champion (1999 & 2000).
 
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Chambers earned his bachelor's degree in behavioral science from the University Wisconsin in 2001.
