The Keiser wrestling team fell in both of their matches at the Fire Duals on Saturday in Lakeland, Florida.
The highlights of the day came at 285 with
Earnest Johnson giving up just two points in two matches with a 6-2 decision win against Caleb Hardeman (SEU) and a 6-0 decision win over Henry Jones (Hastings).
Bryce Gonzalez picked up his first win of the season at 133 with a decision over Michael Bush, 4-1.
"The mentality coming into today was to work hard and have fun," said Head Coach,
Nick Soto. "I love seeing improvements incrementally and that our guys aren't scared to compete. I think we did a good job of closing the gap, not giving up a lot of bonus points, and battling through the entire match. Although we're seeing improvements, we need to realize that we are moving to the mentality of expecting to win these duals. I don't think we fully believe that yet and that's the next corner that we need to turn."
