No. 2 Keiser women's soccer earned its fourth shutout of the year in a 4-0 victory over Thomas. The Seahawks also claimed the first conference win of the season behind two goals 
by Maja Henriksson.

.How it Happened
  • Henriksson got the scoring started in the 27th minute off a cross from Ramona Kannady to give Keiser the 1-0 advantage.
  • The scrappy first half came to an end with 19 total fouls being given, including one yellow card to Thomas' Kayley Smith.
  • Oline Sundgot started the second half with a rocket from nearly 40 yards out to give the Seahawks a 2-0 lead after just 56 seconds.
  • Once again, it was Henriksson who found the back of the net in the 77th minute. This time weaving in and out of defenders before slotting a shot into the lower right corner of the net.
  • In the 83rd minute, Kannady sealed the game for Keiser off a headed assist from Linnea Krockel.
  • The Seahawks defense held out for entire match to secure the 4-0 shutout.

  • Keiser moves to 16-0-1 in Sun Conference openers.
  • The Seahawks improved to 11-1 against Thomas, extending their winning streak to five in a row.
  • Henriksson's two goals were the first and second of the year for the sophomore defender.
  • Krockel's assist in the 83rd minute was her first of the season.
  • Ovenberger and Fanni Pietikainen both picked up a yellow card in the second half.
  • Grace McClellan was credited with her third shutout of the season after making two saves in the contest.
  • The Nighthawks out-fouled the Seahawks 16-14 on the afternoon.
  • Keiser totaled 24 (12 on goal) shots in the game, with Thomas getting off just seven (two on goal).
