The No. 7 Keiser football team bounced back from their first regular-season loss since 2018 with their third shutout in program history, blanking the visiting Skyhawks of Point University, 30-0, Saturday afternoon in West Palm Beach, Fla.

First Quarter
Keiser 7, Point 0
  • It was a struggle offensively for the Seahawks in the early going as their first four possessions featured a turnover on downs, an interception, a fumble and a three-and-out.
  • Point attempted to put the first point on the board but Logan Flesher's 44-yard field goal attempt missed wide right at the 6:51 mark.
  • KU's defense provided the spark the Seahawks desperately needed as Camron Allen deflected Payton Allen's pass right into the hands of Byron Fraley. The interception set Keiser up at the Point 10-yard line.
  • Three plays later, Marques Burgess hit paydirt as the junior rushed in from four yards out. Chance Gagnon added the extra point, putting KU up 7-0 with 1:05 left in the quarter.

Second Quarter
Keiser 17, Point 0
  • Gagnon opened the scoring in the second quarter as the freshman connected on a 40-yard field goal attempt, extending the KU lead to 10-0 at the 11:27 mark.
  • Fumbles plagued both squads in the quarter as Point and Keiser coughed it up a total of three times in the second.
  • The Seahawks extended their lead in the closing moments of the half as Shea Spencer delivered a strike across the middle to Traionn Jones for a 26-yard score with one tick left on the clock. Following Gagnon's extra point, Keiser led 17-0 at the break.
  • The touchdown pass was the first of Spencer's career.

Third Quarter
Keiser 30, Point 0
  • Keiser opened the second half with the ball and wasted no time adding to their lead as Spencer connected with Jerson Jacques, who bulldozed his way into the end zone from 66 yards out. Gagnon's extra point made it 24-0 as 14:03 remained in the quarter.
  • Burgess pushed the KU made the final, 30-0, with his second touchdown run of the night, this time from 31 yards out as 3:56 showed on the clock.

Fourth Quarter
Keiser 30, Point 0
  • Point threatened to end the shutout early in the fourth, but Victor Alvarez Jr. powered his way into the backfield on fourth-and-goal and took down Brenton White for a four-yard loss.
  • Wendol Philord provided the other highlight of the quarter as the freshman picked off  Payton Allen's pass for his third interception of the year.

  • Saturday's contest marked the first meeting all-time between the two programs
  • Both squads were originally slated to play last season before schedules were adjusted for conference play only
  • Keiser improved to 16-2 all-time on the home turf
  • With the win, the Seahawks upped their regular-season home win streak to 14
  • Keiser is now 3-0 all-time against teams from Georgia
  • In their last 20 contests, the Seahawks are 17-3
  • In non-conference play, Keiser is 11-5 all-time
  • The Seahawks improved to 2-2 all-time when coming off a loss
  • Jacques set a new single-game record for receiving yards with 114 in the win

  • Saturday's contest featured a total of seven turnovers combined
