- After a wild pitch put a pair of runners in scoring position, KU was unable to tack on any more runs.

- Pineyro roped the first pitch of the inning for a single to left, moved to second on a passed ball and third on a wild pitch.
- However, Reynolds retired the next two batters to escape the jam.

- The Seahawks used three singles capped off by an RBI to right by Owen with two outs to extend the advantage.

Keiser 2, LSU 5
- Pineyro led off with a first-pitch triple down the right-field line and scored on a first-pitch RBI single to right-center by Fajardo.
- The Pilots knotted the game at two-apiece on a two-out RBI single up the middle.
- LSU then went on top, 5-2 with a three-run home run to left.
- Four of the five runs were unearned.

- Pineyro drew a leadoff walk and advanced to third on a wild pitch and throwing error by the catcher.
- Fajardo then upped the margin with an RBI double to right-center.

- After Dinesen reached on a leadoff error by the third basemen, Bouchard connected on an RBI single to left.
