- With runners on the corners, a failed pickoff at first allowed Petrides to score as KU led 2-0.
- Following a walk, a wild pitch moved a pair of Seahawks into scoring position with still nobody out.
- After the Stars retired the first KU batter of the inning, Bouchard was intentionally walked to load the bases.
- However, Mazur grounded into an inning-ending double play.
