  • Mazur opened the scoring with a two-out RBI single to center.

  • Niko Petrides started the frame with a single up the middle and advanced to third on a McConnell bunt single with a throwing error by the pitcher.
  • With runners on the corners, a failed pickoff at first allowed Petrides to score as KU led 2-0.
  • Following a walk, a wild pitch moved a pair of Seahawks into scoring position with still nobody out.
  • After the Stars retired the first KU batter of the inning, Bouchard was intentionally walked to load the bases.
  • However, Mazur grounded into an inning-ending double play.
