Behind four goals from
Melanie Brown, the No. 1 Keiser women's lacrosse team was victorious over No. 10 Georgetown, 16-6, in the Mid-South Conference Semifinals Friday afternoon.
With the victory, the Seahawks have secured a spot in the MSC Championship game for the second time in program history.
Keiser 8, Georgetown 2
- Cat Raymond wasted no time putting Keiser on top as the junior found the back of the net just 23 seconds into the contest.
- Back-to-back goals by Brown and Talia Myers upped the Keiser lead to 3-0 with 26:04 remaining in the half.
- Brown's goal marked her 30th of the season.
- Georgetown netted two of the next three goals to get as close as two, 4-2, with 16:54 remaining in the half.
- Keiser scored the final four goals of the half to take an 8-2 lead into the break.
- Raymond led the way with two goals, as the junior recorded her fourth hat-trick of the year.

- Brown opened the second half scoring with her third goal of the contest to increase the lead to 9-2 at the 27:43 mark.
- The hat-trick was Brown's eighth of the season.
- Keiser pushed their lead to double digits, 12-2, courtesy of a Sydney Passaro goal with 22:09 showing on the clock.
- The Tigers put a halt to the 8-0 scoring run as Maddie Brock found the back of the net to trim the lead to 12-3 as 20:33 remained in the game.
- Madalyn Huber sparked a 3-0 run for the Seahawks as they pushed their lead to 15-3 with 11:06 showing on the clock.
- Despite Georgetown scoring three of the final four goals, the Seahawks prevailed 16-6 and punched their ticket to the championship game.
- 2: Madison Andrews, Brown and Myers each dished out two assists.
- 3: Mackenzie Gokey caused a game-best three turnovers.
- 4: Myers won a team-high four draw controls.
- 4: Valeria Lomaglio scooped up a team-best four ground balls to go along with two goals.
- 6/4: Brown totaled a game-best six points and four goals.
- 8: Jessica Covell stopped eight shots on the day.
- 30/50: Brown netted her 30th goal and 50th point of the season in the win.
