No. 1 Keiser University eased past Thomas More, 19-6 in the Mid-South quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

First Half
Keiser 13, Thomas More 3
  • Not even a minute into the quarterfinal, Sydney Passaro scored off a feed by Valeria Lomaglio.
  • Passaro doubled the advantage with 24:49 remaining, scoring her second goal of the contest.
  • Back-to-back free position goals by Mackenzie Gokey and Mia Dyson led to a Thomas More timeout with 18:38 remaining, trailing 4-0.
  • Following a Lena Finkelstein tally, Thomas More broke through with an unassisted goal at the 16:52 mark.
  • Valeria Lomaglio tallied three of the next four goals as KU led 10-2 with 12:33 to go in the first half.
  • The Seahawks accounted for the next three tallies as the scoreboard read, 13-2 with 3:49 showing on the scoreboard.
  • TMU grabbed the final goal with nine seconds to go as Keiser led 13-3 at the halftime break. Lomaglio led the way with four goals and two assists.

Second Half
Keiser 20, Thomas More 6
  • Ashley Fox opened the second half with an unassisted goal at the 28:11 mark.
  • Following consecutive goals by the Saints, Lomaglio and Haley Knudsen found the back of the net as KU led 16-5 with 15:12 left in regulation.
  • The Seahawks continued to cruise down the stretch, winning the quarterfinals by a final score of 20-6.
