No. 3 Women's Lacrosse Rolls Past Montreat on the Road, 19-2

The No. 3 Keiser women's lacrosse team picked up their fourth straight win to open the year as they charged past Montreat 19-2 Tuesday evening on the road.

The Seahawks are now off to their second-best start in program history, with the best coming in 2018, 7-0.

First Half
Keiser 12, Montreat 0
  • Keiser struck first as Talia Myers found the back of the net off an assist from Cameron Hanna just 1:26 into the contest.
  • Behind two goals from Melanie Brown and another from Cat Raymond, the Seahawks upped their advantage to 4-0 as 23:58 showed on the clock.
  • The Seahawks pushed their lead to 8-0 as Brown capped off her third hat-trick of the season at the 12:24 mark.
  • Madalyn Huber forced a running clock at the 5:49 mark with her second goal of the game as Keiser led 10-0.
  • The Seahawks went on to lead 12-0 at the break following goals from Jade Dougherty and Valeria Lomaglio.

Second Half

  • Keiser netted the first three goals of the half to stretch their lead to 15-0 before Montreat finally broke through on the scoreboard with 18:11 remaining in the game.
  • The Seahawks responded with the next four goals to increase their advantage to 19-1 at the 1:50 mark.
  • During the run, Huber recorded her second hat-trick of the season.
  • The Cavaliers netted the final goal of the night as Keiser went on to win 19-2.
