The Keiser men's basketball team saw their 2020-21 season come to a close Saturday evening as they fell in the NAIA Round of 32 to No. 14 Stillman, 72-64.
Keiser 35, Stillman 36
- Â Stillman shot out of the gates, netting the first eight points of the contest en route to an 11-2 start as 17:29 showed on the clock.
- Keiser responded with an 8-0 spurt of their own to draw within one, 11-10, capped off by a Darius Bryant corner three-pointer at the 15:12 mark.
- The Tigers stopped the bleeding momentarily with a jumper, but it didn't slow down the KU offense.
- Marko Radulovic evened the score with a wing three and Antwan Claxton gave the Seahawks their first lead of the night, 15-13, with a floater as 13:22 showed on the clock.
- Stillman outscored the Seahawks 21-11 over the next eight minutes to take their largest lead of the half, 34-26.
- After the Tigers matched their largest lead of the period following a Claxton layup, the Seahawks closed the half on a 7-0 run to trim the deficit to one, 36-35.
Keiser 64, Stillman 72
- Stillman opened on a 10-2 run out of the break to stretch their lead to 46-37 and force a KU timeout at the 16:54 mark.
- Heading into the timeout, Virgil Fields was whistled for a technical foul, giving Keiser two shots at the line.
- Following a split at the line by Bryant, Stillman pushed their lead to double figures for the first time on the night as they led 48-38 with 16:05 remaining in the game.
- The two sides traded the next eight points before a pair of free throws by Ryan Kroll and a Radulovic jumper drew Keiser within six, 52-46, as 12:53 showed on the clock.
- Stillman countered with a 6-0 run to open their largest lead of the night, 58-46, at the 10:54 mark.
- The Seahawks drew as close as three, 63-60, following a 14-5 run, capped off by a Radulovic wing triple with 5:06Â left in the contest.
- Stillman responded with nine of the final 13 points as Keiser's season came to an end, 72-64.
- 1: This was the first-ever meeting between Keiser and Stillman
- 3: Claxton, Quinton Glaspie and Radulovic were the only Seahawks to reach double figures on the night.
