- Andressa Nascimento opened with a jumper before the Gyrenes ran off six straight points to lead 6-2 with 8:36 remaining.
- The Seahawks came within two on a pair of occasions, but Ave Maria led 13-8 at the 4:08 media timeout.
- The Gyrenes went on to lead Keiser 19-11 at the end of the opening quarter.
Keiser 26, Ave Maria 30
- Ave Maria opened with five straight points before Sanabria scored Keiser's next eight points to trail 26-19 with 7:05 to go in the half.
- Following a Gyrene bucket, the Seahawks ran off five consecutive points to get within four, 28-24 at the 3:36 mark.
- Each team scored a final bucket before the half as AMU led 30-26.
Keiser 41, Ave Maria 38
- Keiser opened the quarter on a 7-2 run, claiming their first advantage since the opening minute of the game, 33-32, with 6:24 on the scoreboard.
- The Gyrenes answered right back with four unanswered points, reclaiming a 36-33 advantage at the 3:58 mark.
- After trading two leads and two ties, Smith tallied the final five points of the quarter as KU led 41-38.
Keiser 49, Ave Maria 50
- The Seahawks used a 6-4 burst out of the gate, forcing an Ave Maria timeout with Keiser holding their largest lead of the game, 47-42, with 6:52 left in regulation.
- AMU notched the next four points to trail by one with 4:17 remaining in the contest.
- Sanabria snapped the scoreless drought with 2:38 to go as KU led 49-48.
- The Gyrenes went back on top, 50-49, as Monica Behrend nailed a three-pointer with 1:03 left.
- Keiser took a timeout with 23.2 remaining, and Daniela Barrios was fouled with five seconds, but AMU was not yet in the penalty.
- The Seahawks were unable to get a good look at the buzzer as De Virgilio missed her floater in the paint.
