The Sun Conference announced on Wednesday the return of football to the conference beginning in the fall of 2022.

Keiser will join Ave Maria, Florida Memorial, Southeastern, St. Thomas, Warner and Webber International as the seven schools to compete under the SUN flag this upcoming fall. 

The Seahawks are entering their fifth season of competition and coming off a 9-2 season that ended with a trip to the NAIA Football Championship Series Quarterfinals.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Doug Socha, the Seahawks have compiled a 33-9 overall record, captured three consecutive conference championships and made three straight NAIA FCS appearances.

Sun Conference President Dr. David Hoag said, "We look forward to having football come back to The Sun Conference in 2022. We have an outstanding group of football institutions and are very excited about the potential for future growth as well."
