The Keiser men's tennis team started the Barry Invitational on a high note Saturday morning. The Seahawks went 11-5 in singles play against the NCAA Division II field. Singles play will finish tomorrow with the Seahawks taking part in three of the four, flight finals. Doubles matches are also set to be played in their entirety tomorrow.
 
The highlights of day one belonged to Luke Simkiss and Yassir Kilani who both advanced to the flight A final after defeating their Barry opponents in the semifinal. Charly Zick also had a strong day, defeating the Palm Beach Atlantic No. 2 Roberto Binaghi. 
 
Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "Overall, I'm happy with the performance today. Of course, there were some ups and downs, but I thought, all things considered, the boys competed really well today and had a pretty solid performance against some good competition. As with any other tournaments, this was just one day, so we have to regroup and get ready to bring it again tomorrow so that we don't waste today's efforts."
