The Seahawks opened the 2021-22 season with a 79-66 victory over the Voorhees (S.C.) Tigers on Thursday evening.
Shaquille Harris poured in a career-high 23 points to guide Keiser to the season-opening win.
With the score tied 50-50 (8:02 left in the game), Keiser went on a 15-2 run over the next four minutes to take a 65-52 lead. A layup by
Antwan Claxton capped off the run, giving the Seahawks their biggest lead of the game. Â

- After drawing a foul on a 3-point attempt, Core'von Lott scored the team's first points of the season, converting three free throws to give KU the early 3-0 lead (19:43).
- Antwan Claxton made it 5-0 with a steal and a dunk on the Tigers'Â first possession of the game.
- Back-to-back buckets by Quinton Glaspie and Lott extended the Seahawks' lead to seven (9-2) with 18:18 on the clock.Â

- A put-back by Harris gave KU a 38-35 lead but a 3-point bucket by Buie tied the game at 38-38 (16:18).Â
- The score tied two more times over the next four minutes before a dunk by Harris and a jumper in the paint by Antonio Spencer gave Keiser a 46-42 lead with 11:17 left to play.Â
- The Seahawks could not pull away and the Tigers hung around until a 3-point play by Glaspie triggered a 15-2 run for the Seahawks.Â
- A layup by Glaspie with 5:38 left on the clock gave KU its first double-digit lead of the game, 60-50.
- At the 4:06 mark, KU took its largest lead of the game following a layup by Claxton, 65-52.
- Keiser maintained its double-digit lead for the remainder of the contest to come away with the 79-66 victory.Â
