The No. 11 Keiser football team's 2021 season came to a close in the NAIA Football Championship Series Quarterfinals Saturday afternoon as they fell on the road to No. 1 Lindsey Wilson, 54-12.
Keiser 0, Lindsey Wilson 12
- The Seahawks won the toss and elected to defer, sending the defense to work first.
- Keiser forced a Blue Raider punt on the opening drive, which was downed at the Seahawk one-yard line.
- On the second play of the KU drive, Marques Burgess was stuffed in the end zone for a safety with 11:44 left in the quarter.
- Lindsey Wilson tacked on to their lead on the ensuing drive with a 28-yard field goal from Ian Sauter with 6:04 remaining.
- As the Seahawks went three-and-out on their next possession, Chance Gagnon's punt was blocked and downed at the KU 31-yard line.
- The Blue Raiders only needed one play to find the end zone as Cameron Dukes connected with D'Mauriae VanCleave for a 29-yard score. Sauter's extra point was good, pushing the LWC lead to 12-0 with 3:30 left on the clock.Â
Keiser 6, Lindsey Wilson 40
- Dukes and the Blue Raiders added to their lead as the senior found Joshua Lewis for an 11-yard touchdown with 14:15 showing on the clock. Sauter's extra point made the score 19-0.
- Keiser responded on the ensuing possession as Shea Spencer hooked up with Jerson Jacques for the two-yard score at the 7:17 mark. Gagnon's extra point was blocked as KU trailed 19-6.
- The Blue Raiders answered the Seahawk score with a two-yard touchdown run by Dukes with 3:57 left in the half. Sauter's kick extended the Lindsey Wilson lead to 26-6.
- Following a Shea Spencer interception that went off the hands of Caleb Walls, Dukes found Logan Collier for a 17-yard Blue Raider touchdown. Sauter's kick made the score 33-6 with :20 ticks left on the clock.
- On the ensuing kickoff, the Seahawks failed to recover the ball as Robert Carter came up with it for the Blue Raiders at the KU 13-yard line.
- Dukes connected on his fourth touchdown pass of the day on the next play as the senior found Lewis for a 13-yard score with :12 remaining in the half. Sauter's kick pushed the lead to 40-6 at the half.
- On the play, Dukes pass deflected off the hands of Amari Hayes and right into the hands of Lewis in the end zone.
Keiser 6, Lindsey Wilson 47
- Jaylen Boyd was responsible for the lone points of the third quarter as the senior found the end zone from seven yards out to push the LWC lead to 47-6.Â

- Spencer registered his second touchdown pass of the game on the Seahawks opening drive of the fourth as the freshman found Jaden Meizinger for a three-yard touchdown with 11:46 left in the game. Gagnon's extra point cut the deficit to 47-12.
- With 4:21 remaining in the contest, Jbias Dawson took it in from 52-yards out for the Blue Raiders to up their lead to 54-12.
- Keiser threatened inside the LWC five-yard line with under two minutes remaining in the fourth but failed to score, turning it over on downs as the Blue Raiders went on to win 54-12.
- Saturday's matchup marked the third meeting in the last 200 days between the two programs.
- With the loss, Keiser is now 0-3 against the Blue Raiders.
- All-time against teams from the Bluegrass State, the Seahawks are now 2-5.
