The Seahawks put pressure throughout the game, but fell to the Bobcats 2-0 on Saturday. Keiser will remain near the top of the conference standings going into postseason play, now locked into the two-seed and guaranteed a first-round bye.


.How it Happened
  • St. Thomas took a struck first in the 24th minute with a goal by Fernando Arzeno, scoring from 40 yards out. Soeren Zeidler was credited with the assist on the score.
  • The Bobcats took the 1-0 lead into the half, outshooting Keiser 5-4 in the first 45 minutes.
  • Lucca Carvalho nearly evened the score in the 69th minute however, his shot was saved STU's keeper Franco Acerbi.
  • Arzeno extended the lead to 2-0 in the 84th minute, scoring on a cross to the middle of the box. Both Facundo Cisterna and Nicolas Bertuliet picked up assists on the score.

Game Notes
  • Keiser honored their six seniors before the game on Saturday.
  • Saturday's loss snapped a five-game unbeaten streak for the Seahawks.
  • The loss dropped KU to 15-16-2 all-time versus the Bobcats.
  • It was a testy game for both sides with STU leading the foul count 21-13.
  • The fouls often led to yellow cards with St. Thomas leaving with eight of them in the game to Keiser's three.
  • For the match, STU held a 16-11 edge in total shots, while KU held a slight 4-3 advantage in shots on goal.  
  • Goalkeeper Dario Salzer (3-1-1) picked up the loss between the post while recording one save.
