Lundman Scores Overtime Winner Against Ave Maria

Maja Lundman collected a ball from Kyoka Koshijima before running on to the edge of the box and firing a shot into the right corner of the net to secure 2-1 victory. The Seahawks needed just two minutes of the overtime period to secure the win over Ave Maria, 2-1.

.How it Happened
  • Kyoka Koshijima opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a shot across the face of the goal to give KU the 1-0 lead.
  • The Seahawks continued the pressure for the rest of the half, totaling 14 shots in the first 45 minutes to the Gyrene's one.
  • Ave Maria broke through in the second half, scoring a goal in the 59th minute to tie the game at 1-1.
  • Keiser continued to fire shots towards the AMU keeper, racking up 30 shots by the end of regulation, but the game still tied at 1-1.
  • Following a Koshijima interception, Maja Lundman collected the ball and dribbled to the edge of the box before finessing a shot into the right side of the net to give Keiser the win.
