Andressa Nascimento went 8-of-8 from the field for a season-best 23 points as the Seahawks upended Florida Memorial, 74-65, on Thursday evening.




Keiser 18, Florida Memorial 16

• Nascimento scored seven of the opening nine points for the Seahawks to lead 9-0 as FMU took an early timeout with 7:42 showing.
• Keiser kept the Lions off the scoreboard until there was 6:20 remaining, leading, 10-2.
• The Lions clawed their way back with a 10-2 run to trail by two, 14-12, with 3:02 left in the quarter.
• The Seahawks regrouped, running off four straights points, bumping their advantage to 18-12 at the 1:49 mark.
• Florida Memorial matched the run to trail 18-16 at the end of the opening quarter.

Keiser 29, Florida Memorial 40

• The Lions opened with an 11-0 run to take their first lead of the night, 27-18, with 6:16 to go.
• Chiara De Virgilio halted the run with a fast break layup at the 5:03 mark.
• Keiser twice got to within five down the stretch but trailed 40-29 at the intermission.

Keiser 52, Florida Memorial 58

• The Seahawks ran off the first seven points of the new half to get within four, 40-36, with 8:22 remaining. Nascimento accounted for five points during the stretch.
• Back-and-forth the teams went as Keiser trailed 58-52 with one quarter remaining in regulation.

Keiser 74, Florida Memorial 65

• Antigonie Sanabria connected from long range to make it a one-possession game, 63-61, with 6:15 left.
• Nascimento was fouled on a made floater in the paint and gave KU a one-point lead with her free throw, 64-63, with 5:15 remaining.
• A fast break layup by Nascimento and a Sanabria free throw extended the advantage to 67-63 with 3:06 to go.
• Florida Memorial converted on their next possession but the Seahawks went on a 6-0 run to lead 73-65 with 18.5 ticks left.
• The Seahawks went on to take the regular season series against the Lions with a 74-66 victory.

• 5: Keiser won the rebound battle, 36-31, with Nascimento pulling down a game-best nine.
