The No. 2 Keiser women's tennis team shutout Coastal Georgia, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton, Fla. With the victory, the Seahawks pushed their conference winning streak to 21 straight matches.

• Dugleisy Linarez/Anais Gabriel (No. 2 slot) and Lisa Khamassi/Joyce Nouws (No. 3 slot) won 6-2 as the Seahawks clinched the doubles point.
• Sarah Schaerer and Lorene Foerste completed the doubles sweep with a 6-3 win in the top spot as Keiser led 1-0.

• No. 6 Gabriel notched the opening singles point with a 6-2, 6-0 win on court two.
• No. 8 Lisa Khamassi, the reigning Sun Conference Player of the Week, shutout her opponent in the fourth position.
• The match was clinched on the third court after Ruyssen won 6-2, 6-3.
• No. 7 Schaerer made it 5-0 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory on the fifth court.
• In the top position, Linarez fought back after dropping set, 4-6, winning the next two, 7-5, 1-0 as the Seahawks led 6-0.
• Foerste capped off the day with an easy 6-1, 6-3 victory in the sixth spot.

 

Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "The ladies came out and took care of business today. Happy to see us do what we needed to do for the victory. We still need to sure up some things but overall we did a good job of taking care of ourselves and getting off the court. Now we need to start getting ready for a very strong Lynn team on Tuesday."


The Seahawks will take on NCAA Division II, Lynn University on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 3:00 p.m.
