Junior linebacker, Maurice Murphy Jr., was named the Mid-South Conference Sun Division Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Keiser defense in tackles in the Seahawks' 14-12 win over No. 8 Reinhardt Saturday afternoon, announced the league office Monday.
 

• The award marks the first weekly conference honor of Murphy's career.
• Murphy recorded 11 tackles on the afternoon for the Seahawks.
• The junior forced his first fumble of the season in the victory.
• Murphy and the Keiser defense held the Reinhardt offensive attack scoreless in the first half.
