The Seahawks men's soccer team soared past Ave Maria 9-1 in a non-conference matchup on Saturday morning.
Hannu Tam led the way with a new program record five goals in a match.
How it Happened
- Tam scored the first goal of the game on a long ball over the top of the defense from Noah Graziano, giving Keiser the 1-0 advantage.
- Adrian Camacho Castro and Tam (two goals) combined for the next three goals before the half, giving Keiser a commanding 4-0 lead. Evan Finnegan, Cristobal Molina Campo, and Graziano were credited with assists during that span.
- Ave Maria capitalized on a defensive miscue out of the back in the 49th minute to record their lone goal of the contest.
- However, Tam continued where he left off in the second half, tallying two more goals, giving him the program record for most goals in a game witth five as the Seahawks now led 6-1.
- KU continued to flex their muscles, scoring three more goals to close out the game, upping their advantage to 9-1. In that stretch, Juan Fancisco Diaz Espinosa, Miguel Cruz Zarraluqui, and Ricardo Pereira Paiva each scored a goal.
