How it Happened
- Webber connected on a two-run home run in the first but Keiser answered in the second with a pair of runs.
- The Seahawks loaded the bases with nobody out when VanKan scored a run with an RBI groundout to short. After the weather delay, an error on the pitcher allowed the tying run to cross the plate.
- WIU reclaimed the advantage in the third with six runs and kept KU off the board until the fifth.
- Drew Reilly plated a run with an RBI single to first and a two run double to the left-center gap by Gottsacker brought the Seahawks to within three runs, 8-5.
- However, the Warriors got a run back in the sixth and the game went scoreless until the ninth when the Seahawks attempted to rally.
- VanKan led off with a double to right-center before back-to-back hit by pitches loaded the bases with nobody out. A throwing on the catcher following a fielder's choice allowed a run to a cross the plate as Keiser fell in the game, 9-6.
