The No. 2 Keiser women's tennis team shutout No. 17 LSU Alexandria in the NAIA National Tournament Round of 16. The Seahawks advance to the quarterfinal round tomorrow against the winner of MGS and Cardinal Stritch.
Doubles
- Daniela Farfan and Dugleisy Linarez began the scoring for Keiser in the number three doubles slot, shutting out their opponents, 8-0.
- The Seahawks extended the lead to 2-0 from the second doubles position as Aleksandra Grela and Emma Henriksen upended Patricia Perez and Patricia Martinez, 8-1.
- Keiser came out of doubles play with a 3-0 lead after No. 3 Sarah Schaerer and Lorene Foerste cruised to an 8-1 win over Miljana Milojevic and Niamh Packer.
Singles
- No. 35 Grela bumped the margin up to 4-0 as she shutout Packer, 6-0, 6-0, in the No. 4 position.
- Henriksen followed suit with her a shutout of her own in the sixth slot as Keiser advanced to the quarterfinal round of the tournament.
- The Seahawks won the first set in the remaining four matches and were leading in the second set when the match was stopped due to KU clinching.

Daniel Finn said, "Strong effort by the ladies today. Always happy to get that first match out of the way and play well. The ladies came out really focused from the start and took control of the match. That was a good team that we beat today. LSUA was top 10 team for awhile this season. Happy to see the ladies be so focused and intense throughout the match. Now the ladies can get back and rest up for tomorrow."
