KU HIGHLIGHTS
- Keiser's lopsided victory was the first shutout in program history, as the Seahawks defense limited Lindenwood-Belleville to just five shots in the contest.
- Every active player was able to see the field for Keiser as they tied the largest margin of victory in program history. The previous was set in 2017 against Montreat with a 22-1 victory.
- Keiser set new season-highs for a game in both goals scored (21) and caused turnovers (12).
- Offensively, 11 different players scored and six players had assists. Brandon Benitez led the offense with a career-high six points on two goals and a career-high four assists.
- Tyler Kalmowitz matched his career-high of five goals, which he has accomplished on two other occasions thus far in 2019.
- Nick Wilson and Dylan Sharpe each had hat-tricks, with Wilson setting a new career-high.
- Defenders, Emmanuel Walker and Mark Valentino each recorded their first career goals.
- Aaron Collins and Ryan Johnson each had six ground balls, while Valentino and Mark Martinez caused two turnovers.
- Collins and Paul Lipinski controlled the faceoffs, with Collins winning 11-of-14 and Lipinski 9-of-11.
- Marco Olortegui, Sean Thompson, and Anthony Bressi had the combined shutout in net, with Thompson stopping three shots.
- The Independent Conference Tournament Semifinal was part of the Fourth Annual Knights Cup, an event benefiting the Knights of Columbus Charities in Knoxville and East Tennessee.
TURNING POINT
The Seahawks led 11-0 by the conclusion of the first quarter, and never let up throughout the remainder of the Independent Conference Semifinal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lynx entered the game having been held scoreless in each of their previous two outings, and that trend continued as the Seahawks dictated play and kept Lindenwood-Belleville off the scoreboard once again.
- Sharpe opened the game's scoring just 39 seconds into the game, and after the first quarter, Keiser held the 11-0 lead with Kalmowitz accounting for four scores.
- Keiser outscored the Lynx 5-0 in the second quarter to go into halftime leading 16-0. Sharpe accounted for two of the goals in the frame.
- KU tallied four more goals in the third quarter including Valentino's first collegiate goal at the 6:12 mark as the Seahawks led 20-0 with one quarter to play.
- Walker notched the lone goal of the final quarter with 26 seconds left as Keiser advanced to the championship game tomorrow with their 21-0 shutout.

No. 8 Keiser advances to the Independent Conference Tournament Championship on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. when it will meet No. 10 SCAD-Savannah for the third time in 2019. The Seahawks and the Bees split the previous meetings, with Keiser prevailing 16-7 in West Palm Beach on February 16 and SCAD-Savannah earning the 16-11 win in Savannah, Georgia on April 13. Saturday's victor will earn an automatic bid to the NAIA Invitational on May 8 through May 11 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
