KU HIGHLIGHTS
  • Hunter East finished the game with a career-high five goals, and also matched a career-high with seven points by adding two assists.
  • Tyler Kalmowitz, Brandon Benitez, and John Senior each finished the game with two goals to compliment East's big offensive day. Benitez also contributed with two assists.
  • Aaron Collins dominated the faceoffs all game long, and won 19-of-21. The junior defender also scooped up a career-high 16 ground balls, which tied the Keiser single-game record for ground balls as previously set by Chad Strauss on March 21, 2017 against Shorter.
  • Channing Thomas caused two turnovers to lead the Keiser defense, while fellow defender Hunter Fults finished with three ground balls.
  • All three Keiser goalkeepers were able to play in the contest. Marco Olortegui played the opening half and stopped four shots, Sean Thompson played the third quarter, and Anthony Bressi played the fourth period and made four saves.

TURNING POINT
A big run of nine unanswered Keiser goals during the third quarter and into the final period helped the Seahawks pull away from the Point Skyhawks on the neutral field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Point opened the game's scoring, but the Seahawks went in front 2-1 by the end of the opening quarter with a goal apiece from East and Lucas Muzzey.
  • The Seahawk momentum continued into the second 15 minute period, as Keiser netted the next four goals to extend their run to six unanswered goals for a 6-1 lead.
  • Point was able to beat the Keiser defense for the Skyhawks' second goal of the game, but Senior then made it 7-2 with just ten seconds left in the half, and the score would remain that way at the halftime horn.
  • Point drew to within three goals of Keiser by producing the first two markers in the second half, but the Seahawks responded by rattling off the last six goals in the third quarter to lead 13-4 headed into the fourth.
  • The Keiser run extended into the fourth quarter and grew all the way to nine unanswered tallies, as the Seahawks grabbed the comfortable 16-4 lead with 9:57 still to play.
  • The final three goals of the game belonged to the Skyhawks, but it was far too little, too late as Keiser cruised to the 16-7 victory in the regular season finale.
