TURNING POINT
It wasn't until the final quarter that the Bees pulled away from the Seahawks, as the hosts turned a 10-10 game at the end of the third quarter into the 16-11 result.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Keiser went ahead 3-0 in the opening quarter, with the first two goals coming off the stick of Sharpe.
  • SCAD drew to within a goal at 3-2 KU nearing the conclusion of the opening quarter, but Senior found the net with 57 seconds remaining and the Seahawks led 4-2 after the first period.
  • Cruz Waerness pushed the Seahawk advantage to 5-2 just 18 seconds into the second quarter, but SCAD responded with three of the next four goals to go into the halftime break trailing Keiser by just one score, 6-5.
  • Keiser came out of the halftime break strong and went on a run of three unanswered goals, with two from Senior, to go in front 9-5 with 11:12 on the clock in the third.
  • SCAD-Savannah however went on a run of its own and seized their first lead of the game at 10-9 with five consecutive goals, a run that Keiser wasn't able to halt until East hit the back of the net with just one second left in the third quarter to tie it up at 10-10 headed into the final frame.
  • SCAD rattled off three unanswered goals to go in front 13-10, and although Brandon Benitez was able to get loose for a Seahawk score with 10:46 remaining, the Bees held off the Keiser attack and added three more goals as well before the final whistle for the 16-11 victory.
