Doubles

• The Seahawks claimed the first doubles match after Anais Gabriel and Aleksandra Grela shutout Astrid Ciellza and Carla Jewell in the third slot.
• The lone doubles point was clinched for Keiser after Daniela Farfan and Emma Henriksen upended Laura Cazacu and Linda Liong, 6-2.
• With the doubles point already earned, Lorene Foerste and Sarah Schaerer suffered the only defeat of the day but Keiser still led 1-0.

 
Singles

• The Seahawks opened singles play with a victory in the fourth slot as Grela defeated Da-Silva in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.
• No. 40 Henriksen pushed the Seahawks to within a point of clinching the match as she blanked Stamate in the sixth spot, 6-0, 6-0.
• No. 3 Farfan clinched the match and the victory against Wayne State from the No. 1 position, downing Kuznetsova, 6-3, 6-2.
• Keiser continued cruising down the stretch, winning the remaining matches in two-sets as the Seahawks win streak increased to ten straight.

 
Coach's Corner
Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "The ladies played well today. Outside of the hiccup in doubles, the ladies put on a strong performance against a good team. The big thing for us was how we inserted ourselves early and controlled the temp throughout the match. I thought 1-6 all did a great job of being physical in the points and playing our tennis. Very happy with the overall team performance against a good ranked D2 team."
