KU HIGHLIGHTS
  • No. 5 Keiser took to the home field for the first time in 2019 and evened the all-time series with the Bulldogs at 1-1.
  • Keiser outshot Tennessee Weslayan 36-12, and placed 29 of them on frame of goal.
  • Nine different players scored in the game for KU, with five recording multi-goal games.
  • Three Seahawks recorded a hat-trick, as led by four goals from Hayley Mazreku to tie a season-high. Madalyn Huber and Kyli Towner each finished the contest with three scores.
  • Bridget Reddington continued to rack up the assists, setting a new career-high with five to lead Keiser in points.
  • Freshmen Melanie Brown and Lena Finkelstein each found the back of the net on two occasions, as Finkelstein set a new season-high.
  • Tennessee Wesleyan had 30 turnovers in the game, and Kyli Towner and Amanda Antles led the way for KU in the ground ball category with three apiece.
  • Draw controls were firmly in the Seahawks' favor, 17-8, with Huber compiling seven of her own.
  • Keiser converted on 13-of-17 clears, effectively transitioning the ball into the offensive third of the field.
  • Jessica Covell and Mickey Sherrill split time in net, as Covell started and played the first half to earn the win with two saves and four goals against. Sherrill also had two saves and conceded just three goals in the second half.
TURNING POINT
By scoring the first five goals of the second half, Keiser pulled away from the Bulldogs to cruise to the 18-7 victory, the Seahawks' second over an NAIA Top-10 opponent so far this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • On a beautiful day in West Palm Beach, Keiser was able to get off to a fast start in the home opener to establish a 3-0 advantage after the first eight minutes of play. The first two goals came off nice passes from the freshman Reddington.
  • Tennessee Wesleyan opened their scoring at the 20:23 mark, and netted another with 19:03 to play in the second half to draw to within a goal, 3-2.
  • However, the Seahawks tallied five unanswered goals to go in front 8-2 after Towner's second goal of the game and 12th of the season with 5:55 until the halftime whistle.
  • After the two sides exchanged scores, Tennessee Wesleyan had the last tally of the opening half with 46 seconds on the clock as the teams went into the break with KU leading 9-4. Keiser held the Bulldogs without a goal in the run of play for the first half, as all four TWU scores were on free positions.
  • Keiser started the final 30 minutes of play strongly and had five different players score in the first ten minutes of half two, while the Seahawks defense kept the Bulldogs off the board to help the home side build a double-digit lead, 14-4 with just 20:32 to play.
  • Tennessee Wesleyan scored with 19:01 to play to stop the Keiser run, but Mazreku netted her third and fourth goals of the game, with the latter coming at the 11:28 mark on a man-up opportunity off another dish from Reddington to make it 16-5.
  • The 11 goal lead was Keiser's widest of the contest, and the two sides exchanged goals for the remaining minutes of the game to account for the 18-7 Keiser rout, with the final score coming from Finkelstein with just 56 seconds left.
