- The Seahawks had 28 ground balls to Ottawa's 18, and Keiser put pressure on the Braves' clearances, as the visitors converted on just 5-of-23 clear attempts.
- Nine different players scored for Keiser, led by hat-tricks from Melanie Brown, Madalyn Huber, and Kyli Towner, who each also dished out one assist.
- Bridget Reddington entered the game ranked No. 3 in the NAIA in total assists with 25, and led Keiser once again with four more helpers to add to that total.
- Towner in particular was all over the field, collecting loose balls, finishing with a game-high five ground balls, a game-high four caused turnovers, and four draw controls.
- Mickey Sherrill earned her first start of the season and played the full 60 minutes in net, making three saves on her way to her first credited victory of the season.
TURNING POINT
The Seahawks jumped out of the gate fast and scored the first four goals of the game in the opening 7:14 of play, and the outcome was never really in doubt from that point forward as Keiser enforced their will against the Braves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Keiser jumped out in front early with the game's first four scores, beginning with a Cat Raymond unassisted goal and concluding with Hayley Mazreku's 20th goal of the season on a pass from Reddington at the 22:46 mark.
- After Ottawa got on the board for the first time, the Seahawks responded with three consecutive goals to make it 7-1 just over halfway through the first 30 minutes of play.
- Following the Braves' second goal, Keiser built a nine-goal advantage at 11-2 to conclude the first half, with three of the four goals during that stretch being unassisted.
- Ottawa scored two of the first three goals out of the halftime break in the first two minutes to make the score 12-4.
- Six straight goals from the Seahawks however put the game well out of reach at 18-4 with 5:46 remaining, with Huber netting two goals and Reddington being credited with two assists during that dominant run of play.
- Ottawa found the back of the net to make it 18-5, but Huber's third and final goal of the contest on a pass from Brown came with 20 seconds on the running clock to account for the final score of 19-5.
