How it Happened
  • The Bobcats had the only three hits of the game through the opening four innings as the contest remained scoreless.
  • In the fifth, Garrett Hall drew a leadoff walk before Crocitto singled, for the first Keiser hit of the game. Nick Diaz then executed a perfect sacrifice bunt to move up both runners.
  • St. Thomas intentionally walked Reilly to setup a force-out at any base. Christopher Coipel sat down the next two batters via a strikeout looking and a line out to first as the Seahawks left the bases loaded.
  • The Bobcats pounced in the bottom half of the inning with three runs on four hits to take a 3-0 advantage.
  • STU tacked on two more runs in sixth with two-outs and kept the Seahawks off the scoreboard for the 5-0 shutout.

Keiser Highlights
  • The Seahawks snapped their four game skid with a 15-6 victory in the third game of the series.
  • Keiser finished with 14 hits in the contest led by a 3-for-4 performance from Hall. Crocitto and Reilly also recorded multiple hits in the contest.
  • Seven different players picked up an RBI including five with multiple runs batted in. Hall and Crocitto led the way with three apiece.
  • Alex Alfonso moved to 2-0 on the year after receiving the win as he threw two shutout innings, allowing just one hit.

How it Happened
  • St. Thomas claimed a 1-0 advantage in the first with a sacrifice fly to right but Keiser answered with a pair of runs in the second.
  • Back-to-back singles started the inning before a double play moved Hall to third. Reilly then connected on a two-run home run to left as KU took a 2-1 lead.
  • The Seahawks tacked on two more runs in the third with two-outs. Gottsacker plated the third run with a double to left and the fourth came in on an RBI single to center by Hall as KU led 4-1.
  • Keiser loaded the bases in the fourth with nobody out when Jonathan Fernandez ripped a two-run single to center, upping the margin to 6-1. The next two batters were retired via strikeouts before Gottsacker was hit by a pitch. A balk then allowed the seventh run to cross the plate.
  • The Bobcats matched the Seahawks with three runs in the bottom half of the inning, trimming their deficit to 7-4.
  • Following two scoreless innings, Hall led off the seventh with a home run to left, his second of the series, making it 8-4. After consecutive ground outs to third, Reilly drilled a double to center. Ezequias Encarnacion, pinch hitting, connected on an RBI single to center, raising the advantage to 9-4.
  • STU answered back with a pair of runs in the bottom half but Keiser came right back with six of their own in the next inning.
  • Back-to-back walks and an error on the second basemen loaded the bases for Hall, who drew a walk to make it 10-6. Crocitto then emptied the bases with a double to left, pushing the lead out to 13-6. De La Cruz followed with a two-run home run to left as Keiser took a commanding 15-6 lead.
  • Alfonso and Fletcher Byrd combined to shutout St. Thomas in their final two at-bats as Keiser came out on top, 15-6.
 
Up Next
The Seahawks return home on Thursday for a doubleheader against Trinity International University. First pitch is slated for 11:00 a.m.
