How it Happened
- The Seahawks batted through the lineup in the first, scoring five runs on six hits.
- Keiser's first two batters were retired before five straight singles gave the Seahawks a 3-0 advantage. RBI's were credited to Megan Carver and Thompson. The final two runs came across on a double to center by Dominguez.
- KU tacked on three more runs in the third with two-outs as the margin increased to 8-0. The first two runs came in on a double down the left field line and the third was via a single to short by Heather Mueller.
- Edward Waters nearly had their first run of the game in the fourth with two-outs but Hiley was thrown out at home on great throw from center by Mueller.
- The Seahawks made it 9-0 in the fourth on a two-out, RBI double to left by Carver, scoring Avery Miller, who also reached on a double.
- EWC plated four runs in the fifth on three hits to climb within 9-4 but KU got a run back in the bottom half on a first-pitch RBI single to right by Larissa Ostrander.
- Keiser loaded the bases in the sixth with one-away when Dominguez walked it off with a single to left- center, winning game one by a final score of, 11-4.
