Key Inning
Georgia Gwinnett set the tone of the game in the second inning, plating four runs to take a 4-0 advantage.

How it Happened
- The Grizzlies plated four runs in the second, one in the third, and one in the fourth before Keiser got on the board in the bottom half of the frame.
- Janelle Dominguez drew a two-out walk before moving to second on an Ostrander single to third. Carver then plated the Seahawks first run with an RBI double to right as Keiser trailed 6-1.
- Neither team crossed the plate again until Georgia Gwinnett pushed across four more runs in the seventh to lead 10-1.
- In the bottom half, Ostrander connected on a leadoff double to center and moved up a base on a Carver single to center. Following a Mueller pop up, Northway scored Ostrander with an RBI groundout to third as Keiser fell in the opening game, 10-2.

- The Seahawks handed No. 5 Georgia Gwinnett their first loss of the season after coming out on top in eight innings, 3-2.
- Keiser has now played two extra-inning games against ranked opponents and are 1-1 in those contests.
- Avery Miller and Northway had the only two hits for Keiser in the contest.
- Autumn Green notched her second win of the year after tossing a complete game. The senior did not allow an earned run while striking out two.

The Seahawks took advantage of a wild throw from the pitcher with two-outs in the eighth as two runs came in to score. Â

How it Happened
- Ally Thompson walked to start the game and moved up to second on a sacrifice bunt by Troiana Test. Miller then laced a double to center as the Seahawks took a 1-0 advantage.
- GGC threatened to score in the third with the bases loaded and one-away but Green got Robinson to ground into a fielder's choice for the second out. Green then had a pitch get away from her but Dominguez was able to recover the ball and beat the runner to the plate for the final out of the inning,
- In the very next inning, the Grizzlies again loaded the bases with two-outs but Busbee flew out to left as KU remained on top, 1-0.
- Georgia Gwinnett finally broke through in the fifth with an unearned run as Robinson laced a one-out double to center, tying the game at one-apiece.
- The Grizzlies nearly had their first lead of the game in the sixth with two-outs as Cox tried to score from second on a single to left but was thrown out at home on a great relay from Northway-to-Ostrander-to-Dominguez.
- After neither team scored in the seventh, the contest went into extra-innings where the international tiebreak was in effect.
- With Mueller placed on second, Northway led off with a single to center. Head Coach Terri Knecht then executed a double steal as the Seahawks were threatening to retake the lead.
- The next two Keiser batters were retried before Georgia Gwinnett, pitcher, Taylor Hansis  threw the ball away on a grounder back to her, allowing two runs to score as Keiser jumped ahead 3-1.
- Georgia Gwinnet quickly got a run back as Wagner started the inning with a double to center. A groundout to first, allowed Wagner to move up to third with one-away.
- Green then walked Melton before Rosetti single to second as the Grizzlies now had the bases loaded.
- However, Green settled down to get a huge strikeout, followed by a game-ending fly out left as Keiser prevailed, 3-2.
