- Antigonie Sanabria hit back-to-back three pointers to put Keiser on top of the Cougars, 18-15, with 7:50 left in the quarter.
- The Seahawks led 22-19 when MVNU ran off nine straight points to lead 28-22 with 2:40 remaining in the half.
- A Long hook shot and Sanabria three-pointer brought Keiser to within a point, 28-27, with 1:53 showing on the scoreboard.
- Mount Vernon regrouped and closed the half on a 5-2 spurt to lead 33-29.

Third Quarter: Keiser 42, MVNU 49
- Following an MVNU three-pointer, KU ran off seven straight points, tying the game at 36-36 with 6:20 to go in the quarter.
- In the stretch, Long became the all-time leader in total rebounds with her 769th career, which came on the offensive glass.
- After trading baskets, the Seahawks took their first lead of the second half, 39-38, on a Lindsey O'Sullivan free-throw at the 4:20 mark.
- Following two lead changes, MVNU tallied the next seven points to lead 47-41 with 1:40 to go in the quarter.
- The Seahawks would go on to trail the Cougars, 49-42, with one quarter remaining in the contest.

Fourth Quarter: Keiser 54, MVNU 65
- Mount Vernon started the final quarter on a 6-3 spurt, taking their first double-digit advantage of the game, 55-45, forcing KU to take a timeout with 6:14 left.
- The Seahawks were unable to cut their deficit to single digits, falling to the Cougars, 64-54 in the opening game of the West Palm Beach Invite.
