Keiser Highlights
- Jermar Perkins matched his previous season high of 14 points in the opening half of play, knocking in 4-of-6 from downtown. The junior transfer guard then proceeded to finish with a game-high 29 points on 5-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc, and also had four rebounds and four assists.
- Andrija Matic, the reigning Sun Conference Player of the Week, had a big second half to finish with yet another double-double, his seventh consecutive with 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
- Aaron Gedeon had 13 points and eight rebounds from the other forward spot.
- Ryan Kroll tied a career-high with nine points in his start from the guard spot, and also snagged a career-high five rebounds.
Turning Point
Keiser came out determined after the under-10 minute media timeout of the second half, as the Seahawks turned what was a one-point deficit into a six point lead at 56-50 with a 7-0 run, and the cushion earned in that run was enough to lift Keiser to the Sun Conference win.
How it Happened
- Radulovic opened the game's scoring just seconds after the tip-off on perfect execution, taking a pass from Orlic and finishing on the right side.
- The teams went back-and-forth in the opening minutes however, and Keiser went ahead 12-9 following the second consecutive made three-pointer from the point guard Perkins at the 14:11 mark.
- Following Perkins' three the Warriors began an 11-0 run to go in front 20-12, but Perkins knocked in his third triple with 9:51 to play in the half, keeping the Seahawks within striking distance.
- Keiser continued to chip into its deficit after the Webber run, and drew to within a single possession at 22-19 after a steal and nifty reverse layup finish from Kroll on the fast break with 8:27 to play.
- Webber sunk a triple on the next Warrior possession to push the hosts' lead back to six, 25-19, but Keiser proceeded to conclude the final 8:14 of the opening half on an impressive 13-3 run.
- During that stretch Perkins canned his fourth three-pointer of the half, Javen Soto tied it up at 28 apiece with a layup in the paint, and Kroll and Gedeon each had layups as well to put Keiser in front, 32-28 at the halftime whistle.
- Out of the break, the Warriors scored 10 of the first 12 points to seize a 38-35 advantage with 15:41 on the clock.
- Just moments later it was all knotted though at 40-40, as Marko Radulovic hit a long ball with 14:38 remaining. After a Warrior bucket, Soto put the Seahawks in front 44-42 with back-to-back finishes in the paint.
- Momentum continued to seesaw back and forth as the teams exchanged productive offensive trips, and the Warriors held a narrow 50-49 edge at the media timeout with 9:55 showing on the clock.
- Matic scored four straight points and Perkins hit nothing but net on a trifecta after a loose ball scramble, as the Seahawks scored seven unanswered to go ahead by six, 56-50 with just under nine minutes to play.
- The Seahawk reached its largest of the game at nine points, 62-53, with 6:06 remaining after Perkins hit two free-throws.
- The Warriors went on an 8-0 run to draw all the way to within one point, 62-61 with 4:52 left, but the Seahawks responded with a 7-2 stretch after dunks from Matic and Gedeon came before Perkins fifth and final three that made it 69-63 with 3:06 on the clock.
- Webber International never was able to get any closer than four points at 77-73 with 20 seconds left, and the Seahawks took care of the ball and converted on 8-of-9 from the free-throw line down the stretch to preserve the 80-73 victory.

Coach's Corner
"We finished the game strong and shot 17-of-19 from the line and 41 percent from the floor, with only two turnovers in the second half which was crucial," said Head Coach
Bob Starkman. "Perkins had an amazing game. We got some help from the bench tonight to improve to 4-4 in the conference and we will continue to grow."
