Keiser Highlights
  • The Seahawks registered eight hits in the contest, with Larrissa Ostrander being the lone KU batter to record a multi-hit day, going 2-3 at the plate.
  • Rylee Agnew moves to 7-4 on the year in the circle for KU, picking up the win out of the bullpen.
  • Autumn Green shut the door on the Warriors, allowing just one hit in three innings, while striking out a pair in earning her third save on the season.

Turning Point
After plating their first run of the ballgame in the top of the fifth, the Warriors looked to do more damage with a pair of runners in scoring position, including the tying run on second with two outs when Green struck out Meghan Lindell swinging for the final out of the inning, ending the potential threat.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks struck first in the ballgame, putting up two runs on one hit and one Warrior error in the bottom of the first.
  • Kelsey Brodbeck led off the inning with a single through the left side, and moved up to second on her 41st stolen base of the year. After advancing to third as Troiana Test reached on a WIU error, Brodbeck scored the opening run of the game when she came in to score on Avery Miller's sacrifice bunt.
  • Keiser then pushed the margin to two as Cheyenne Blumberg drove in Test with a one-out RBI sacrifice fly to right field.
  • Two innings later, KU extended their lead as Janelle Dominguez laced a two-out RBI triple to right field, driving in Miller, who reached on a two-out double to right center.
  • Webber then climbed within 3-1 in the top of the fifth inning on Victoria Atkinson's one-out groundout to second, scoring pinch-runner Anna Schutzler.
  • The Seahawks extended their advantage to 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth as Ally Thomspon delivered a one-out RBI single to right center, driving in Ostrander, who reached on a single up the middle.
  • Green then retired the side in the top of the seventh to secure the 4-1 Keiser victory, advancing the Seahawks on in the Sun Conference Tournament.
